FINAL CUT PRO X

Final Cut Pro 10.4 debuts a powerful collection of new features for professional editors. A strikingly low-profile interface maximizes work space on any display. The new Magnetic Timeline 2 advances even further beyond traditional, track-based editing with automatic color coding and flexible layouts based on roles.

With the default workspace, large media browsers help you see exactly what you’re working with.  A dedicated layout for organizing hides the timeline so you can use the entire screen for browsing, tagging, and filtering your footage.

Also, if you video in RAW or with Log C encoding to capture a wider range of colors, since Final Cut Pro supports Rec. 2020 wide color space, you can view your film with stunning realism on iMac and the new MacBook Pro.

EVO is a purpose-built networked storage server for professional media teams. Unlike generic SAN/NAS systems, EVO includes unique features that create new possibilities for collaboration within multi-user FCP X workgroups.  The system is developed and tuned for the workflow needs of professional TV, film, video, graphics, VFX, animation, virtual reality, audio, and broadcast production.  

EVO’s NLE-optimized networking and storage functions provide industry-leading performance for shared media with FCPX. Teams of editors can concurrently handle multiple streams of ProRes-based media, 4K, and other codecs via standard 1GbE and/or 10GbE network connections, and in most cases editors can connect their workstations directly to EVO, with no additional switch requirements.

A well-known limitation of Final Cut Pro X is that its Libraries cannot be saved to, or opened on, a standard NAS share. EVO solves the library problem with a unique file sharing and locking system built by SNS specifically for use with FCPX, enabling all of your editors to store and access FCP X Libraries directly from the shared, networked, EVO storage system.
